Teen mums graduate from Skills Training Centre
Our latest group of teenage mothers has graduated from the Skills Training Centre (STC) at our Aberdeen Women’s Centre in Sierra Leone, where they’ve gained valuable skills in catering and hospitality, tailoring, hairdressing and arts and crafts.
Parents and guardians joined the celebration to show their support.
Each graduate received an empowerment package to help them put their new skills into practice and we wish them every success as they begin this next chapter.

About our Skills Development Training programme
With support from the Aminata Maternal Foundation in Australia, we provide a Skills Development Training programme for 60 teenage mothers from our Dreams Girls cohort per year. The programme helps transform their lives through vocational training to help them gain employment or start businesses, as well as builds their self-esteem and confidence.
