Emily

Emily lived with fistula for 14 years.  She was treated and cured at our Fistula Care Centre in Malawi 2014.   After Emily was discharged she felt the need to help other woman that faced the same problem she had. She started sharing her experience whenever she was attending women's gatherings.  So far Emily has brought 18 patients to the centre who have since gone on to be cured.  Emily was trained in 2018 as a patient ambassador and she received all her training materials to help raise awareness about fistula in her community.  We are very grateful to Emily for helping women suffering from obstetric fistula.
