We are partnering with Kenyatta National Hospital and AMREF (African Medical and Research Foundation) to renovate an old family planning clinic at the hospital into a fistula unit which should be fully operational by Spring 2009.

In the meantime, we are supporting a fistula surgeon who is already in place and are assisting with ‘fistula camps’ to provide immediate care to the women of Kenya. The first camp took place in August and was a huge success with more than 120 women receiving free surgeries and we hope to run regular camps until the dedicated clinic is operational.
